Life and Education in Japan Series: Cover Art / Photography Contest
(Submissions due by February 1st, 2020)

2020 will see the launch of books in the Life and Education in Japan series and we are inviting submissions for potential photography or other artwork suitable for the cover of one or more of the forthcoming titles. The series is edited by Diane Hawley Nagatomo, a professor at Ochanomizu University, Tokyo, and Melodie Cook a professor at the University of Niigata Prefecture. An active and professional community of scholars live and work in Japan with many affordances and challenges that the context provides. In addition to navigating academic roles, international scholars are also faced with challenges related to language and cultural barriers. This series is designed to publish volumes on a range of topics related to the life of academics and expatriates living and working in Japan. Titles in the Life and Education in Japan series will be of interest to academics and expatriates living and working in Japan, or to scholars with an interest in Japan. For more details of the series, please visit
