Fiona Creaser and Naomi Yukimaru

Abstract

Unity in Diversity (Inspiring Future Generations) is a research project and an undergraduate course which teaches students about race, ethnicity, gender, and disability. This chapter looks at one aspect of the project, which is teaching students about disability and inclusion. The chapter looks at ways in which students are taught to understand and respect people with disabilities and how to create an inclusive teaching environment for students with disabilities.
