Candlin & Mynard ePublishing: Facilitating Links Between Research, Practice, and Publication.

Dr. Sally Candlin, Senior Advisor (2015 - 2025)

Sally Candlin was a highly respected scholar in professional and healthcare communication, with an international reputation for her work on nurse–patient interaction, professional identity, and discourse in institutional settings. She held honorary and adjunct positions at universities in Australia and Asia and taught extensively at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Sally published widely, and her books, chapters, and journal articles have had a lasting influence in applied linguistics, nursing, and health studies, forming the basis of curricula in many institutions worldwide. She served as an editor and reviewer for numerous scholarly publications. Sally Candlin died on 9 December 2025.
